Brand new airport in Tulum, Mexico was finished in March of 2024 🇲🇽
📍 WHEN YOU LAND IN TULUM (2 hour drive from Cancun):
🛂 Passport control was EASY with no lines; just show your passport and boarding pass.
🚽 Very clean restrooms are right there!
🎒 We sent all our bags through screening again with no issues.
🚙 Highly recommend booking transportation with @amstardmc. They are dependable in Mexico and the reps wear bright Hawaiian shirts so they are EASY TO FIND. We’ve used them for many vacation excursions and airport transportation in Mexico.
✈️ Short airport security lines for the return trip home.
👮🏻‍♂️ If you pack in only carry-on luggage, go up the stairs straight to airport security. Show passport and ticket/boarding pass.
⚠️ Travel Tip: they asked me to take off my watch but I did not have to take of shoes or take out liquids bag 🙌
☕️ New restaurants are being built; many shops with coffee and light bites. Of course there is a Starbucks.
