Sailing the TREACHEROUS Drake Passage to Antarctica
Today, I woke up at the edge of the world in Ushuaia, Argentina and itโs time to set sail for Antarctica.
The journey ahead is not going to be easy. To get to Antarctica by land, you have to navigate the Drake Passage, the most treacherous body of water on earth. I brought every motion sickness remedy I could find.
But even that didnโt help much.
For two full days we battled 6m waves. I had headaches, nausea, I felt dizzy.
And finally, against all odds, we conquered the Drake Passage and entered a mystical wonderland.
Sailing through those turbulent waters felt like entering a portal into the most untouched land on earth. And let me tell you, it was well worth it.
Details:
We sailed to Antarctica with a company called Albatros Expeditions.
